Beth Harris was, first and foremost, my friend.  She died in December 2015 quite suddenly, leaving a huge hole in my heart and a huge loss for the standard poodle world.  She will be missed more than she ever thought, and those of us who were lucky enough to have dogs from her lines will miss her every day.  Those of us who were mentored by her over the years are overwhelmed by the loss of her guidance, her knowledge, and her generosity.   I am one of those!  Hardly a day goes by that I don't wish I could talk with her, and wonder what I'm going to do now that I can't pick up the phone to ask her a question, get her opinion, find out what she knows about something in particular, or just to chat and laugh.    I treasure the time I had with her, all I learned, and her friendship.
